Huang Cha China's Rare Yellow Tea

Yellow tea remains relatively undiscovered in the West, while in China this esteemed brew is known as the Imperial Tea, which for century’s was offered as a tribute to emperors. Yellow, known as the ‘Colour of Magnificence’ was a characteristically Imperial colour and in 17th Century China was reserved only for the Imperial Court.

Pour a cup of this delicate tea, with its beautiful, pale yellow liquor. The leaves are slowly steamed by tea masters in the traditional way, increasing the tea’s fragrance and natural sweetness, and using the ancient process, "men huan", sealing the yellow.
