As a Chinese emperor declared nearly 1,000 years ago, 'White tea is the culmination of all that is elegant.' White tea offers an exquisite range of flavour and aroma, both refined and refreshing. This rare White Peony style white tea, one of the great teas of China, is grown in the high mountain mists of the Fujian Province.
The tender spring shoots are carefully selected and then skilfully cured by hand, a natural process that takes several hours. It is the fine, silvery-white down, which covers the underside of the leaves. that gives the tea its name.
Directions: Allow freshly boiled water to cool slightly, before infusing the sachet for 2-3 minutes, according to taste. To experience all the taste nuances, add water again for a second or third cup.
