Rounded and clean, with a lingering fruity aftertaste and translucent amber colour. A unique collaboration with Chinese tea makers, uniquely milling fine leaf teas for serving in tea bags.
Such quality green teas also offer the most rewarding sense of well being, arising from 'boundless heart,' described in Chinese as Wu Xin (woo shin); hence the name of our range.
We are bringing back the lost tradition of enjoying high quality green teas, which has disappeared over the last 100 years. We have been exploring isolated tea gardens in the beautiful and remote South China mountains, and have real pleasure in sharing this selection of delicate and flavoursome, authentic green teas.
Each one of our Wu Xin Green Teas has a distinctively different and exquisite taste, with not a hint of bitterness. Enjoy the elusive fragrances and lingering tastes of these handmade teas. Their uniquely different tastes are brought about by using traditional and painstaking tea-making skills.
Directions: Freshly boil water. Let it stand for about 3-4 minutes. Infuse the teabag for 2-4 minutes, according to taste.
Double use tea bags: Teas of this quality may be infused more than once. Only the very best teas are said to improve on the second infusion.
Or why not try a Gingered Green Tea Granita:
Combine water, sugar and ginger in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Cover and let infuse for 15 minutes.
Strain the mixture into a suitable dish and place in freezer. Freeze for 2 hours. Stir. Return to freezer for another 3 hours, or until mixture is slushy but not frozen solid. (If mixture freezes solid, let it stand at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes, then lightly pound with the back of a spoon until it returns to its granita texture.)
