Gingered green tea granita
Ingredients:
- 1 litre of water
- 125ml-granulated sugar
- 15ml of fresh grated ginger root
- 4 Dragonfly Smooth & Mellow Special Rare Green Tea tea bags
Preparation:
Combine water, sugar and ginger in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Cover and let infuse for 15 minutes.
Strain the mixture into a suitable dish and place in freezer. Freeze for 2 hours. Stir. Return to freezer for another 3 hours, or until mixture is slushy but not frozen solid. (If mixture freezes solid, let it stand at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes, then lightly pound with the back of a spoon until it returns to its granita texture.)
