Leaf Teas of Distinction
Organic Lapsang Souchong tea
A classic tea from the Fujian province of China. After harvest, the leaves are gently withered over pine wood fires to give the distinctive tarry smoke flavour.
Stored in wooden barrels to let the smoky flavour develop, the leaves are then smoked again over pine fires to dry.
The result is a robust, black tea with a tarry infusion, heavy body and deep smooth sweet taste. This was Sherlock Holmes' favourite tea.
