Leaf Teas of Distinction
Pangyong Golden Needles China tea
A Chinese black tea grown on the Tai-Mu Mountain in the Fujian province.
It is only plucked in April, when the new shoots show. It has long, narrow, black shimmering leaves with many flat golden-yellow tips. Appearance and taste of this tea remind one of a fine spicy Assam from a late plucking.
The infusion has a shining dark russet colour. This tea can be served with a dash of milk.
