Our Fairtrade organic rooibos is a refreshing tea that is grown by farmers in remote parts of the magnificent Cape coastal mountains of South Africa, where it has been enjoyed for centuries. It is still harvested by hand and cured naturally in the sun.

We buy all our Dragonfly rooibos tea directly from the farmers. The Fairtrade certification guarantees that the smallest scale producers can compete at an advantage in the global markets.

The price is set and remains fixed above normal market levels, allowing increased investment in farmers' communities.

For the last 50 years these farms have produced hand-made Rooibos tea based on a real respect for and understanding of their environment. This pack will help them to reap the rewards of their hard work and to ensure the sustainability of the unique eco-system and their culture.

Dragonfly Organic Fairtrade Rooibos Tea is still cured in the traditional way, as it was when Benjamin Ginsberg founded rooibos. The process takes place in the crisp air of the Cedarberg Mountains of South Africa's Cape. It requires great skill to know when the cure is at its peak; one sign is that it begins to give off a delicious sweet aroma that attracts wild bees.

Dragonfly rooibos teas are naturally caffeine free, so they can be enjoyed at any time of day and are suitable for the whole family. Rooibos is rich in antioxidants and AHAs, long valued for fresh glowing skin, gently rehydrating and low in tannin.

Directions: Add freshly boiled water and allow to brew for 2-4 minutes, according to taste. Add sugar or honey. Delicious with or without milk. Also with lemon or as an iced tea with mint.
